Freelancers terms

1. Who these terms apply to

Everyone who buys or sells on NaijaMart Freelancers: clients, and freelancers selling gigs, sending offers or answering job posts. Where these terms and the NaijaMart Terms of Use differ on a Freelancers matter, these terms apply; on money held in Trust, the Trust terms apply.

2. Paying only through Trust

• Every order is paid into NaijaMart Trust. Asking for, offering or accepting payment outside NaijaMart is not allowed.
• Phone numbers, emails, social handles, bank details and outside payment links are not allowed in gigs, jobs, messages, offers, deliveries or reviews.
• Freelancers must not ask clients, or other freelancers, to pay any fee to apply or to start work.

3. Orders, delivery and approval

• A freelancer starts work only once Freelancers shows the money is held in Trust.
• Delivery is made on NaijaMart, as files or a link. That delivery starts the client's 3-day approval window.
• In that window the client approves, asks for a revision included in the package, or raises a problem. With nothing raised, Trust pays the freelancer at the end of the window.
• A revision stops the window until the next delivery.

4. Cancelling and problems

• An order not paid within 7 days closes itself.
• A paid order can be cancelled when both agree, and by the client when it is more than 24 hours late with nothing delivered. Refunds go back through Trust to the client's own verified account.
• Anything else goes to NaijaMart Trust's arbitrator, whose decision on the money is final.

5. Reviews

Only the client of a completed order may review it, once, within 30 days; the freelancer may answer once. Reviews must be honest and must not contain contact details, insults or private information. NaijaMart may hide a review that breaks these rules, and says why.

6. Conduct and suspension

NaijaMart may take down a gig or job, or suspend a freelancer page, that breaks these terms or the law, and tells the person why. Orders already paid continue in Trust. A freelancer whose identity check lapses cannot take new orders until it is renewed.
