Disclaimer
Please read this before you rely on anything you find on NaijaMart Freelancers. It sits alongside the NaijaMart Terms of Use and the Freelancers terms.
1. NaijaMart as a platform (shared across NaijaMart)
NaijaMart connects people with businesses and with each other. Much of what you see is provided by the businesses and members who use it. We check some things, and say so where we do, but we cannot promise that everything shown is complete, accurate or current.
Nothing on NaijaMart is professional advice for your situation. Links to other websites are for convenience; we do not control them and their own terms apply.
To the extent the law allows, NaijaMart is not responsible for loss that comes from relying on information provided by others, or from a service being unavailable for a time. Nothing here limits a right you have that the law does not allow to be limited.
2. Freelancers are independent
- Each freelancer runs their own business. They are responsible for their work, their skills, their claims about themselves and for meeting what was agreed.
- NaijaMart is not the employer or agent of the freelancer or of the client. The agreement for the work is between the two of them.
- NaijaMart checks a freelancer's identity before they can sell. That check confirms who they are; it is not a check of their skill or of every claim on their page.
3. Payment through NaijaMart Trust
- Every order on Freelancers is paid into NaijaMart Trust, which holds the money until the work is approved, the approval window ends with nothing raised, or Trust's arbitrator decides.
- Payment outside NaijaMart is not protected by Trust. Please report anyone who asks for it.
- Trust's own terms set out how held money, refunds and arbitration work, and they apply to every order.
4. Reviews, levels and what is not allowed
Reviews are the views of the clients who wrote them, and only clients of completed orders can write them. Levels are worked out from completed orders and are not a guarantee of future work.
Freelancers does not allow exam malpractice, fake documents, guaranteed visas or results, money schemes, hacking, bought followers or reviews, or writing graded work for students to submit as their own. Tutoring, editing and data analysis are allowed.
5. Professionals you hire through Freelancers
Some services are offered by lawyers, accountants, doctors, engineers and other professionals. Before you rely on any professional:
- Ask to see their current practising certificate, and check it with their professional body.
- Check with that body that they are not suspended or the subject of any disciplinary matter. NaijaMart cannot check disciplinary status.
- Agree the terms of the work in writing on the order, and keep all payment on NaijaMart Trust.
NaijaMart is not responsible for the actions or advice of any professional, other than NaijaMart's own in-house lawyer where NaijaMart provides that service.
6. Insurance
Before you engage a professional, ask whether they hold professional indemnity insurance, and consider cover of your own against loss from unprofessional conduct.
7. In-person lessons and shoots
